Mi casa es su casa!

We have been here at Lori's, for two weeks now, and it's great! I don't know what I was so worried about. Even with nine people living here, we have enough more than enough space. The kids messes aren't so in your face and they primarily stay upstairs in the computer room. Danny and I both agree that it is nice not to have a house to take care of for a while. I don't think that this could ever be a permanent living situation, but it is nice as interim housing. I haven't been as helpful as I would like with cooking dinners, it's hard to please everyones schedule. We have, however, taken some advantage of the on-site babysitting we have. Get the kids to bed...go to a movie!! We definitely are grateful to be here!

SOLD!

It's official! The house will close, if all goes well, on January 31st. We have about a week to get all packed up and out of here. We got our storage unit on Saturday and started filling it with stuff. I'm sure everyone has similar thoughts as I do when they are packing up their house, why do we have sooo much STUFF!! Danny and I are pretty good about getting rid of things periodically through out the year, but there is still a lot of stuff. Stuff you use everyday, stuff you use every once in a while, stuff you use once a year (Christmas decorations fill the coat closet and under the stairs), and stuff you keep just in case. Regardless, it all takes up space and organizing it seems a daunting task. I'm hoping to be on top of the organizing when we get into another house. For now, we are taking up residence at Cappellini Court with Lori, Tanner, Dale and Brenda. It will be a full ouse for the next couple of months!
Onto the little people. My kids are constantly telling me the funniest things. For instance, Summer told me that they talked about Lucifer in her class on Sunday. She told me ,"Lucifer is a real person, not a cat!" Referring to the cat on Cinderella! She also wanted to know if Jesus hit the thunder guy. No he doesn't hit anyone, I told her, and out of curiosity I asked her who the thunder guy was. "He's the guy that makes it rain," "Oh," I said. "Is he handsome?" Summer asked, "Yes, I think he is," I replied. "Is he like a prince?" "Well, yes he is." Why not!!
Miles is walking! Before church Sunday, not walking. After church, walking! When they are ready, they do it!! Same for potty training! By the way, I just bought another box of daipers for Keaton. I just can't bear the thought of potty training while packing and moving! I'll do it after his birthday!

Resolutions...

One of my many New Year's resolutions, I always make way too many, is to keep a journal of our family! I have failed miserably in past years, but I'm rededicated and excited to get this blog up and running again!
The last update was about two and a half years ago, so let's get up to date. We've added one more player to team Eichelberger, Miles. He just turned one and is such a joy and blessing in our lives. We are in the process of short saling our home, we should find out this week if it will all go through. Stressful and exciting at the same time! I've had anxiety about packing up this house since we put it on the market and haven't done anything about it! If all goes through, we will have two weeks to pack up and get out!! New subject please!
Summer is 4 and in her second year of preschool. She will be a kindergardener come August! Keaton will be three on February 11. I'm still working up the patience to potty train. Every box of diapers I buy, I swear it's the last one! And sweet little Miles! He just might be my favorite child right now...he can't talk yet! He is a boy all the way, he already makes sound effects when he's playing with his hotwheels!
And that's us in a nutshell! May the blogs continue and let the good times roll!!

A Little Update

Now that Keaton is 3 and 1/2 months, I thought I would do an update. It's official, I am a stay-at-home-mom! Today I turned my name tag and badge to the JW Marriott. I will miss those great employee room rates and that's about it!!

Keaton could not be any cuter. Danny says he has a crush on me cuz he just stares and smiles at me. I just eat it up and try to savor each moment, I know how fast it goes!

Summer, oh Summer! She is so much fun and such a girl! Singing and dancing and high-pitched screams. You can't help but have a smile on your face when she is around!

We are headed to San Diego next week for the Mud Run - it should be fun! Maybe I'll get some pictures up of that before the year is over :)

Here comes Keaton!

I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures of our new addition. Keaton Harris arrived at 7:50 am on Wednesday February 11th. He weighed in at 8 lbs 2 ozs and 21 inches long, almost the exact size as his sister (she got him by 2 ozs and 1/4 inch). I thought for sure it was another girl and I was excited for Summer to have a sister, but we we're SO happy to have baby Keaton.

Thanks to good family and friends, we are adjusting well. I don't know what I would do without my mom!! She's been staying with us. I'll probably have a breakdown after she leaves and go stay at her house!
